Gas Plant Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operator on our team. Mancal Energy Inc. is a well-established oil and gas company with a proven track record of successful exploration and building core operating areas through organic drilling complemented with strategic acquisitions.  We are currently in the process of transforming our business with the goal of being one of the most effective and sustainable producers in the industry. 

The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining assigned field area sites, facilities, and equipment to optimize oil and gas production. This role includes planning, monitoring, testing, and supporting production activities, ensuring safe and efficient field operations.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the following:

• Operate and maintain oil and gas field production facilities, including batteries, compressor stations, pipelines, and plants, to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct well performance tests and equipment checks, highlight irregularities, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Support commissioning and decommissioning of facilities, pads, and wellsites.
• Coordinate with contractors and on-site maintenance crews to execute planned activities effectively.
• Troubleshoot routine operational issues and ensure timely completion of work and action items.
• Contribute to department projects and process improvement initiatives and managing assigned tasks.
• Identify opportunities to streamline field operations processes and propose opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior operators, ensuring competency development within the team.
• Ensure all activities comply with operational standards, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

To meet the challenge of this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter who works well in high levels of autonomy.

• Up to 4 years of relevant experience in oil and gas field operations.
• Graduated High School or GED.
• Up to date tickets.
• Gas plant experience is required.
• Ability to work in various field/environmental conditions and travel to sites as needed.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in using various software applications and willingness to learn new systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
• Must be able to multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines.
• Possess troubleshooting skills with an ability to make timely and consistent decisions on a broad variety of topics.
