RESPONSIBILITIES: |
|
|
As a collaborative member of our Accounting team and reporting to the Assistant Controller you will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Treasury. This position will continue to grow to support the employee on pursuit of their CPA designation. Mancal is also working on innovation and support with implementation and documentation as required.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and review accounts payable invoices using OpenInvoice
- Prepare journal entries associated with the bank transactions and deposit cheques as necessary
- Analyze the bank accounts and complete the bank reconciliations
- Complete weekly payments (EFT’s, cheques and wires)
- Analyze the general ledger for offsetting entries and prepare journal entries
- Data clean up of the accounting system
- Other duties and projects as time permits

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: |
|
To meet the challenge of this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter who is ready to grow their career.
- The successful candidate has a degree in accounting and is interested in pursuing the CPA program for fall 2023 or winter 2024
- Knowledge of oil and gas operations is an asset
- Experience using Qbyte FM and Microsoft 365 is an asset
- A keen learner with an inquisitive mind and a self-starter who is driven by success
