Joint Venture Administrator/Analyst

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

 Part Time (3-4 days per week)

REPORTING TO:

Vice President, Land/Commercial

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Joint Venture Administrator/ Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for an individual that enjoys a wide range of Joint Venture responsibilities and is interested in expanding their experience. A solid understanding of joint interest and commercial agreement concepts is required. You must have excellent collaboration, communication, and analytical skills to deliver everything from routine joint venture administration tasks to more complex analysis.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and maintain accurate joint venture agreement data and company asset ownership in the CS Land database.
  • Updating joint venture electronic filing systems and CS Land database.
  • Maintain and improve record integrity.
  • Prepare, review, issue and/or process mail ballots for operated and non-operated joint venture agreements, tracking mail ballot votes and issuing response letters.
  • Tracking and managing all joint venture agreement obligations.
  • Support cleanup of files and ensure joint venture agreements are stored appropriately.
  • Provide analysis of operated and non-operated activity, both operational and financial.
  • Work with Operations, Development and Finance teams to reduce and optimize costs.
  • Build strong relationships with Mancal Energy Inc. joint interest partners and third parties.
  • Analyze and review all JV related AFEs.
  • Provide monthly report to Team Leaders and Management of JV matters.
  • Engage, support, and collaborate with internal groups, including land and commercial representatives, production engineering, midstream and JV accounting teams.
  • Special projects as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • To meet the challenge of this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, extremely organized self-starter who works well under minimal supervision.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced, professional, team environment and have a minimum of 5 years directly related joint venture experience.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of all areas of joint ventures in Alberta and can provide support and coverage as required.  
  • Working knowledge and experience with CS Land, MS Word and MS Excel are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.  Ability to perform under a high degree of autonomy and independence.
